Welcome to the How It Works section of Badger Loans. We have tried to make applying for an unsecured personal loan as simple as possible. Whether you have good credit or bad credit. All loans are the same to some degree. They differ only by length of term, amount of loan and interest rate. The first thing you need to do is decide if you need a short term loan like a Payday Loan or Instalment Loan or if you need a longer Personal Loan.

How Long is a Loan?

Short term high interest loans are for emergencies like broken boilers and failed MOTs while Personal Loans are for things like holidays, cars and white goods. Short term loans typically run from 3-12 months and you can borrow up to £1,000 while a Personal Loan whether for good or bad credit can run for up to 5 years and you could borrow up to £25,000 if you fit the criteria.

Ping Trees

We have partnered with Leadtree Global Ltd for Personal Loans, Instalment Loans, Payday Lenders and Short-Term Loans. They operate a ‘Ping-tree’ system where your details are submitted to a panel of lenders who review your application and make a lending decision in real time.

This means you will find out if you have been successful in your loan application within minutes and if all lending criteria are met to the satisfaction of the lender, funds could be in your bank account the same day, possibly within an hour if all criteria are met and your bank supports Faster Payments.
